Common questions
How do I get an Indian Medical Visa from Nairobi, Lagos, or Accra?
Once your medical records are reviewed by the hospital, we issue an official Medical Visa Invitation Letter on hospital letterhead. You can apply online via the Indian e-Medical Visa portal (evisa.gov.in) or at your local High Commission. e-Visas are typically granted within 72 hours.
Can family members travel with the patient?
Yes. Up to two family members or attendants can obtain Medical Attendant Visas (MED-X) linked to the patient’s primary medical visa.
How do we handle hospital payments?
You make payments directly to the hospital’s official international banking account via wire transfer or at the hospital billing desk using international debit/credit cards or USD cash. MyWellnessTrip does not hold your medical funds.
Are halal meals and African food options available?
Yes. All major partner hospitals offer halal-certified dietary menus. In addition, our serviced recovery apartments include fully equipped private kitchens where family members can cook their preferred meals.
